10 Years of Spielraum – Babies at the Museum

Emmi Piklerʼs Spielraum/Playroom is a parent-child-group based on a special pedagogical approach: babies and toddlers can test movements and live out their urge to discover without any active intervention of their parents.
The Toy Museum has been offering this professionally grounded development approach for ten years already. The children, who took part in the first classes, are now on the threshold of becoming teenagers, the ones in the recent classes are only a couple of months old. 
Until this day, the programs for babies and toddlers are one of the strongest areas of our knowledge sharing work. For this reason we want to have a look at the past and the future and give insights into the educational theory behind the Emmi Pikler approach. Therefore, we have decided to open up an Adventure Area that invites to get to know and test things.
